    hey i got a couple videos but they are asf format so i can't skip around it have to watch from start to finish any ideas?

    Try using a different media player. Some MPG files of mine can't be fast-forwarded or rewound on WMP9 but they can using PowerDVD.

    Use ASF Tools. It can make your asf file "seekable", meaning, you can skip to the point in the video you want.
