burning soulcalibur 2

has anyone successfully copied soulcalibur 2 for ps2 I have tried it with Record Now Dx and IC7 I usalley use Record Now and haven't had one problem with about 30 burns for ps2 I was looking into using Nero 6 any help would be greatly appereciated.

Do you have a modchip or Fliptop? I have a fliptop and can't play a back up of Soul Calibur 2 because my PS2 is a Version 7. SC2 is a game that does this "double check". If you've got V1-6, you can use CD Loader in addition to a fliptop, slidecard, or no-solder modchip with Swap Magic. CD Loader can be downloaded but I don't know the URL for it, google should help.

Something you don't need to worry about if you got a no-solder modchip but if you want info...go to ps2fliptop.com. Its a workaround to use the Swap Magic boot discs basically...but anyways, a V7 can't play Soul Calibur 2 or any double check games that are burnt or imported. Not yet anyways, Swap Magic 3 will come out later this year and all will be ok then.

what is a double check game and how can I determin if it is a double check game.

Its got something to do with .elf files in the actual game. Some that have it are Soul Calibur 2, Splinter Cell, World Series Baseball 2K3, Silent Hill 3, and...a few others I can't recall. But as I said, Swap Magic 3 will work with all double check games...so get a set of SM3 boot discs once released, I hear they are coming within a month or two.

Oh and the only way to tell is ask around or burn the game yourself and just find out what happens.
