  1. After trying a few methods of converting DivX to DVD (and finding TmpgEnc crashes no matter what I ask it to do) - I decided to use Adobe Premiere 6.5:

I load the DivX file in Premiere and drag it to the 'video 1' timeline track, I then unlink it to its audio stream (Audio 1) and load up the .wav file I got from Vdub to be put in its place...

Now I have the DivX video in the video timeline and the wav audio in the audio timeline, the tracks end at the same point, so I know everything is ok, I play it in Premiere and it is in sync etc...

I Export the movie to Adobe MPEG encoder and use the PAL DVD template (its a PAL movie) and everything it good (sometimes it crashes, I'm not sure why).

The files it gives me: PhoneBooth.m2v and PhoneBooth.wav

Are these acceptable for DVD use - is there a better method using Premiere? I have yet to find a guide using it.... What are the draw backs?

I understand I have to author the .m2v and .wav files first, so I'll give Tmpg DVD Author a go... (hopeing it wont crash like its counterpart)...

    Thanks guys!!

  2. Using the two files, Tmpg DVD Author done some work with them and made the .vobs and dvd directory structure I needed (_TS folders), so I used Nero 6 to burn them onto a +RW disc and played it in my standalone. The picture is poor and after a couple of seconds, I notice the audio and video is out of sync... What part of the process above would cause this??

Playing the .vobs in PowerDVD also gives the same results, even if I open a later .vob it is out of sync from the start... I'm guessing the Authoring buggered up??

    Thanks for your help!!
