    I created an image with ImgTool classic and then burned it to a DVD+RW with DvdDecrypter. It played fine in my Sony DVP-NS715P. Then I burned the same image to a Ritek G04 DVD-R. The player doesn't recognize it.

    I've burned lots of test images to DVD+RW and they always play fine. I just got the Ritek disc and this is the first time I've burned to anything other than DVD+RW.

    I'm not sure what to make of this. Any suggestions?

    According to the Media database (https://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia.php?selectmedia=94), your Riteks should work fine. Could be an authoring error?

    Why would an authoring error affect the DVD-R but not the DVD+RW? I burned the same image to both. One works and the other doesn't.
