When using DVD2SVCD to backup a DVD it works fine for mpeg files or to rip vob's. When I burn a VCD using a bin/cue image with nero the disc burns successfully acording to nero. However when I try to play back the disc in my cdrw drive i get the error message unsupported format and it won't play. however when i burn a VCD using the mpeg file function it plays fine. Has anyone else had this problem with the bin/cue image?

well..... I have a help file on how to burn bin/cue files using nero. Here it is :
Burning images with Nero is very easy, once you know how. Nero can easily burn cue/bin files and iso files. These are the most common types of images, and so any file you get should be in one of these formats. If you do not have a CD-Rewriter, or do not want to waste CDs, then read my help file on ‘Daemon Tools’.
1. First of all, you need to find out what version of Nero you have. If you already know, you can skip this step. Basically, it’s the same process, but the buttons are in different places for Nero version 6. If you have version 6, look around for the burn image button, as it is not in the place specified here. The process is the same though, once you find it. To find out what version you have, click Help and then About. A dialog screen will pop up telling you what version you have.
2. Now, you have to make sure the image file is ready for burning. If it is archived, (.tar, .rar, .zip) then you must extract it. An iso is only one file, but a bin/cue is two. You must check that the bin and cue file match. To do this, open up the cue file in notepad, and make sure the filename of the bin file matches the filename in the cue file. This is all you need to do. Make sure the bin and cue files are also in the same folder.
3. Now open Nero. If a wizard pops up, then just close it. Then another box will pop up, close that too. You should now be at a blank screen that looks like this. If it doesn’t, close all the windows until it does look like this.
4. Now, click ‘File’, then click on ‘Burn Image’.
5. In the box that comes up, browse for and select the cue file, or the iso file. Some of the older versions of Nero do not automatically shjow the cue files, so you may have to click show all files at the bottom, to be able to see it. REMEMBER TO SELECT THE CUE FILE!! NOT THE BIN FILE!!
6. Once you have selected the appropriate file, click open. One of the following two options will appear. If you have the wizard enabled, you will see the first one, if not, you will see the second one.
7. It doesn’t matter which one you get. Just make sure there is a blank CD in the drive, select the speed you want (slower speed, generally better, but you’re choice) then click ‘Burn’. The burn dialog box will pop up, and the CD will be burned. Quite often Nero asks If you want to finalize the CD. Always click yes to this; otherwise the CD will not burn.
I hope this file helps you .
