    will link you to a new freeware Mac application called MPEG2Works which seems like its capable of doing a lot of scripted conversions,

    "MPEG2Works can convert a video input movie file to an MPEG2/MPEG1 DVD/SVCD/VCD ready movie...There is also options for mux/demux MPEG files...and conversion between MPEG2/MPEG1, PAL/NTSC movies. "

    I tried a couple of short movie translations and it seems to work well. haven't tried to demux anything with it yet.

    thanks for the info. its always good to have a number of apps for this type of thing. Sometimes one works when another doesnt.
