InstantCopy question for Matrix have to remux? MackemX how?

I found that the Matrix stutters and freezes on a few certain parts(multiangle)... so i searched the archives and found this...

I followed mackemX's link and he says he remuxes the files and it fixes them.. can you please give a little more detailed info on this.. i've done some re/mux'ing before with Xmuxer2.0.

Also will i have to do this to all my DVD's when i back them up? As a precaution?

been a bit of a while now so I can't remember everything

Have you tried burning the DVD on a RW?. Are you using PowerDVD to play the DVD? as this apparently had problems with it but other players didn't and I used PowerDVD and got the repeating scenes

I do remember my version of Matrix only had one soundtrack so if you have a different version and have removed audio with IC, I don't know if it will work

you also need plenty of HD space and also remember when IFOEdit is processing VOB's, to drag it to the bottom of the screen so you cannot see the progress bar. This makes it work much faster instead of it slowing down

to fix it, first back up all your IFO/BUP's in both the IC & Original folders just in case you need to start again

use VOBEdit to demux the IC resulting VOB files to get the .m2v file. Move the IC movie VOB's out of the IC folder for safe keeping for now. I normally put them in the same folder as my IFO/BUP backups so I can always drop them back in if it goes wrong

then use IFOEdit and open the original IFO and remux the IC .m2v file to get the new remuxed VOB's but save these to a separate folder for now and not the IC folder as it will overwrite the IFO's which you do not want. You only want the VOB's. You could save them to the IC folder and then copy the backups back into the IC folder, it's upto you but you only want to replace the IC VOB's and not the IC IFO's

take only the remuxed VOB's and put them into the IC folder if you haven't already done so. You can try the DVD but I don't think it will work at this stage so open the IC IFO and click VOB Extras and do the same as you would when stripping Audio/VOB ID's but this time keep everything on the two screens selected. Do not remove anything and save the files into yet another folder

now move the VOB's currently in the IC folder out into another folder and then drop the new stripped VOB's which haven't really been stripped but this time also put the 4 new IFO/BUP's into the IC folder overwrting the IC ones (which you have a backup of)

then try the DVD. I would suggest using Get VTS but if I remember correctly The Matrix was one of these DVD's that had weird IFO's and changed stuff even if you choose Get VTS after ripping so leave it for now

try the DVD, it may work but if not as a last resort try a Get VTS

I can't remember exactly how I did it to tell you the truth but that's how I would think I did it by using the above method

Thanks... yes i did write it to RW since it was my first time using IC7 i also did only play it on my machine... but since this seems like a rare thing for a dvd backup i won't worry to much about it... but i'll definatly give it a shot... thanks for the reply.
