  1. hi,
i recently tried to watch a svcd my friend gave me, but it didnt play on my dvd player because it's not a compliant svcd (resolution 768*576 ) so i tried to copy the .dat to my computer and watch it there (because cd drive pretty noisy) but just before it finished it says the .dat is corrupt and copying aborted...

The .dat file can be played in the cd drive itself with no problem from start to end over 2 cd with no skipping or errors... but both cant be copied to my harddisk always the file corrupt error...

both cd are normal burnt cdr-s... can someone tell me why or how is this happening...

  2. Extract the mpeg's using Iso Buster. You can find a guide here. Set it to ignore bad sectors. This will probably work even if the file has errors.

I extracted an old cartoon the other day with 311 bad sectors and it worked fine.
    If it's wet, drink it
