Auto update if not connected to the Intarweb....

Was wondering if there was a way to run the pgm if you have selected for the "auto update" BUT do not have an internet connection active? Had problems with my PC and ISP and when I tried to start SVCVD2DVD found that the pgm would close if there was no internet connection....

I now have this set to MANUAL.......

Will there be a solution or should I just leave it set to manual???

Hey,

Update you always have to get over the internet so if you leave it on auto-update the program will always connect to internet at startup to get new updates. It is normal for auto-update behavour for auto-update.

So if you don't have internet conenction the you have to set all tyou programs to manual update. Cause no program can auto update without internet.

Thanks and I agree about having the function of auto update, but if you have the SVCD2DVD pgm set to AUTO, but do not have an active internet connection - The program WILL NOT RUN because it can not check for uodates.
What I'm getting at is my setup is for auto update, BUT if my connection is not functioning, NEITHER does SVCD2DVD as there is no way to uncheck auto update, and since the pgm CAN'T do the auto update - it does not run....

I'm just wondering if CHrissy can put in a way that will allow for the program to run even though it is set for auto update.... like an option if the connection is not available...

I've fixed this in the next buildwhich i will release soon. running http://www.svcd2dvdmpg.com/svcd2dvdmpg/update.reg will sort it out in the meantime.
