Before I buy this Panasonic LF-D521U DVD Burner, I want to know something.
With my CD burner(E Drive) I am able to copy any Non-DVD CD that I have in my C-Drive.
With this DVD burner, will I be able to put a DVD in my C-Drive(also a DVD drive), and burn it directly to my new DVD burner(once I get it), thus copying the DVD.
Also, is this going to result in video/audio quality loss?
Will the Copied DVD be playable in any DVD player, including my PS2?

1)In short, no.
But, you can copy any DVD that isn't encrypted (most commercial movies are) and is under the 4.7 GB limit. Most commercial movies are over 4.7 GB. The average is around 7 GB. Obviously, you can't directly copy a 7 gb disc to a 4.7 gb blank
Most DVD burning programs will preform a read speed test to ensure the read speed is at least twice your burning speed.
2) No quality loss unless you re-encode
3) Depends on the machine. PS2 will play DVD-Rs as will most DVD players. But some won't The quality of the media also counts. Cheap generic discs will generally have less compatiblity.
If you are planning on backing up movies you will find very few (if any) mainstream movies that can simply be copied disc to disc for the reasons I mentioned above.
You will find tons of guides on this site that show you how to do anything you want with a dvd. It is very simple. You just need a little paitience and do some reading.
Good Luck
