I just bought an Iomega Super Drive - all of my soft ware detects the max burning speed of the drive as x2 not x4- is anyone else having the same problem - It wont even recognize 4x DVD-R Ive ruined 2 x4 discs of differnet brands - And Iomega wont help me - theyre useless - telling me to disable UDMA for the burner and use PIO mode instead- what a load of crock!!!!!

  2. From what I understand... the IOMEGA drive is the same as (or very simular to) the LG GSA-4040B DVD-RAM drive. I have the same problem, only the DVD-R speeds are slow. There is a newer firmware to fix this but its for the 4040b. Maybe there will an update for the IOMEGA as well. Hope this helps some.

  5. try deleting your Secondary/Primary IDE controllers in hardware profile and restart.

This fixed a speed issue for me.
THIS has been an RVL123 production...
