  1. I am going to put about 15music videos from cds i have onto dvd. Im wondering if there are some issues to with deal.

Will i need to re encode the mpg files so that the audio is 48k
I think i will be using dvd lab to create everything, make the menus etc.

Ive never made menus before so hope it works out.

If i burn the dvd files onto dvd and have the dvd set as dvd utf? instead of dvd video, will it still show the menus and allow you to select different videos to play or will it skip this and star the first video?

DVD uses 48khz audio. You don't have to rencode mpg. Demux the mpg, then upsample the wav to 48khz. DVD-Lab will eccept separate video and audio streams.

The default settings in DVD-Lab will bring up the menu first.

I don't know about DVD Lab but other programs like TMPGEnc DVD Author, Ulead Movie Factory 2, and Ulead DVD Workshop all will accept an mpg file with 44.1 audio and convert it for you without converting the video(that is if the video is dvd compliant).

  4. Use tmpgenc dvd author, chuck all your files in create your menu and click go. On my pc (check my specs) to do a complete disc takes around an hour and a half.
