I am having good results with DVD2oneX on movies, using the movie only option ... now, I am wondering what the best approach is to those TV show DVD sets ... like star trek, xfiles, .. should I try the copy function ? anyone here has any better ideas ?

You need to use the Full Disk copy option in DVD2OneX (DTOX). That's the only option that doesn't involve extracting individual tracks and remastering a new pair of DVDs manually. See if the quality is acceptable with DTOX in full disk mode. If not, then you can use OSEx to extract the elementary streams and DVDSP or Sizzle to then master the new DVDs.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
Yep, DTOX works pretty well for TV show DVD's, my backup copy of Buffy S2 went smoothly, without a hitch in full copy mode, slower than dirt, mind you on my antique G4 350, but nicely done, and very clean playback, even if it's compressed quite a bit..
