    More info needed:
    What's your source?
What do you do in each step? encoding, authoring, burning etc. What apps do you use? What settings in those apps?
Have you read and followed any guide found at this site for "??? to SVCD"?

  3. hi
    thanks for answering.
i have SVCD from a lot of different sources, some downloaded and some ripped and encoded myself. all of the MPEG2 files ive got play perfectly on my PC, no lip sync problems at all.
i then try and burn using NERO 5.5.9.14 using the SVCD panel, i have tried the compliant menus and used all settings...same results. the discs play on the PC with no lip sync problem, but when i play them on my DVD player theres a delay of 1-2 seconds!
i have other SVCD ive bought and they work great!!!
i have spent a long time looking through "HOW TO"s on this site for weeks and still havent found an answer.
im right here if you need more info, cheers

  4. You should tell use what program you use to make SVCD if you use DVD2SVCD some times you have to install it again if you messed with the setting and do not know the right one's. Some DVD player's do not play SVCD right.

If you have a SVCD compliant mpeg, I strongly suggest using VCDEasy (the latest free version) to author it. Uncheck the "Burn" checkbox, and VCDEasy will just create the cue/bin CD image files.
Then burn this image to CD with Nero, using "Burn image" under File.
If your problems persist, it could be that you're using a too high bit rate. Even if your player plays SVCD, not all can handle max SVCD bit rates. Try lowering to around 2000 kbps total (A+V).

What player are you using? The Toshiba SD220E/SD210E suffers from this problem. There are fixes available - see threads under the DVD Players section of this forum or the DVD Players review section of this site.

I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.
