Enconde faster with new mp4 codecs and obtain one avi compliant divx for your standalone player, without reencoding.

Nero Digital offers great quality and is faster but still the majority of the standalone players don’t support it . Here is the solution:

First encode your mpeg2 or dvd with Nero Digital, follow the guides of vcdhelp.

Once you have your mp4 there are two ways:

One a bit complicated:
-go to http://mp4ui.sourceforge.net/ and with the program mp4ui extract the video and after the audio. This one is in AAC format so you need Nero wave editor for transform it to wav.
-Open the avi in Virtualdub [traditional not modified] (video, direct stream copy) and multiplex with the wav (audio, wav audio), and compress to mp3 (audio,compression...). Save as avi, and its all.

Other simpler way that works:
-You need the program MP4Cam2AVI Easy Converter at http://mp4cam2avi.sourceforge.net/ . Initially was conceived to transform in avi the mp4 of the digital cameras, but it works perfectly with the mp4 of Nero Digital, simply open with it the mp4 and in 15 minutes you have your new avi (divx compliant) with audio in mp3 only a bit bigger than your original mp4 of Nero.

It’s a method that surpasses in time and quality any traditional encoder of divx.
