Sorry for not being very clear on my question. These ISO files are on my Hard drive and DVD Shrink won't recognize ISO, Is there any other
software which shrinks(compresses) ISO files so that it can fit on one DVD. All the guides in "look here" are excellent and thanks to all of them who have contributed them.

What you need to do is use DVDDecrypter and set it to File Mode. Then select all files, and rip the files to your hard drive. From there, load up the required files by DVDShrink (Or whatever software you plan on using) and figure out what you want and don't want to be on the backup copy.

Also, this ISO file is a DVD-9. When its a DVD-9, you should not use Iso Mode as it creates an image for burning and there is no possible way to burn an ISO thats 7GB, gotta get it down to 4.38GB or less in order to burn it to a DVD-R.

If you have any other questions, I'll try and answer them for you.

  4. You can get DaemonTools and us it to mount the iso's then point DVDShrik to the mounted volume

What you need to do is download Daemon Tools from doom9.net. This will create a virtual DVD drive on your PC that will play your ISO files just like they are DVD discs.

Install Daemon tools, right click the ICON in the systray, go to Virtual CD/DVD rom, a menu will slide out, select, Device 0 and another menu will slide out, select mount image. Browse for the ISO file you want to watch or rip.

Now if you open "my computer" you'll see that you have one more CD or DVD rom drive listed.

Open Decrypter, select file mode and then you will be able to select your "virtual" DVD drive from the drop down box, and you can rip it just like you would if it were a normal DVD disc.

Or use DVDshrink like thayne suggests if that's what you are using to compress.

  6. Thanks to northcat_8 and thayne, it worked perfectly.

Now for the Newbies who must be wondering how I got those 7.5GB ISO
files on my HD. Well as I was learning DVDDecrypter, to make DVD5 toDVD5 with ISO files, I have also made ISO's of DVD9 without researching for other options availabe in DVDDecrpter (look at DeleriumMDK post above). Anyway the way I did DVD9 to DVD5 is very long method. I am now hooked on DVDShrink 3 beta 5 for my DVD9 to
DVD5 and currently working on putting 2DVD's on to 1DVD. Read
tompika's and ddlooping post under DVD-DVDR forum for more info.

Thanks to all for giving feedbacks

  7. Hi all

In the future you might want to try IsoBuster.
This should convert your ISO image back to the original files.

I have never had the need to use it, but someone I suggested it to (for the same reason) said it worked like a charm.
