  1. Well When I play a dvd in the software the burner came with which was dvd movie factory which is an all in one burning software playing software etc program, the screen has solid inch wide flickering black bars in parts of the screen making it unbearable to watch the dvd. The after I press stop, and go and watch the tv on my tuner card, the tv has a greenish color to it. It also has this greenish color to it when I play video files I have saved on my computer (only after playing a dvd though). Once I restart the computer and play the videos that are stored on my computer, the color is back to normal and the same with the tv image with the tuner card.

When I play the dvd in power dvd the dvd doesn't have sound, so basically the burner is useless for watching dvd's unless there is another program someone can suggest or knows what might be conflicting somewhere.

I am running Windows XP, CPU is AMD Athlon 1.6ghz and 1GB of PC2100DDR Ram.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

  2. First I would look into the programs you are using to watch the movie with and compatibility issues with your video card. Your burner really doesn't have anything to do with the display of the movie. Have you tried updating the drivers for the video card and try using windvd or windows media player.

The electronic components of the power part adopted a lot of Rubycons.

  4. I haven't tried updating the drivers of the video card, but I'll try that, and I'll also try the few programmes suggested.

    Thanks for the suggestions.
