Can anyone tell me if you can use the latest version of VirtualDub, TMPGEnc 12a, Nero 5.5.24 or 5.5.40, Windows MMC 6.3, ATGUARD 3.22, AVIO Synth, all this Windows 2000? Any things to lookout for.

maybe, depends on the "version", the FO- one may not, but depends on install. the atguard engine is now in the symantec internet firewall app. I know it wont work on win ME for sure though.

The following work in 2K and XP from my personal experience:
AVI_IO
AVI Synth .3B
TMPGEnc all versions
Nero 5
As for your ATI card stuff, I am sure they have specific Windows 2000 drivers for them by now.

One thing to watch out for the WMP on Win2K. Sometimes it stays "alive" even after I closed it. It hold on to enough system resources that Nero will burn coaster discs (buffer underrun) instead of good ones.
Usually, I do a quick check on my MPEG files with WMP before I burn them with Nero.
