Two minor but really annoying problems with file renaming.
1) When I right click on the file to choose "rename file", as soon as I go to the drop down menu, the menu disappears. I HAVE to click on the file, move the cursor to the left- away from the drop down menu and click on the file a second time or the drop down menu disappears every time.
2) After I do rename the file I get a pop up box asking me to confirm the name change. I really don't want to waste time with that. I just want to rename the next file.
I don't have either of these problems with my Vista or XP machines. Hell, I don't remember having these problems with 2k before a few months ago.
If anybody knows how to fix these issues, I would really appreciate the help. Thanks.

Not sure why you're having the first problem, you should not be able to move away from the file and still get the drop down menu for that file. Maybe you have a bug.
As for renaming the files without the confirmation screen, you could use an image browser like Irfanview to rename your graphics and media files. That's what I do to keep from having to answer the prompt every time. There is also a program called Properties Plus that allows you to change extensions without having to answer the prompt. It adds itself to the dropdown list.
