I would like to compile a dvd made up of specific chapters of various other DVDs and would like to know if this is possible. Which software would you recommend I use to do this if it is possible, and would there be any quality loss? I have authoring software which I would like to use for menus and so on also. Any help would be appreciated.
Regards

yea, you can do that, but the info you gave it too vague. Are you trying to make some type of highlight reel or something? AS far as whether their will be a quality loss..it depends how much data you are trying to fit onto the DVDR. Basically, the total of all the comprised chapters plus any extras and menu's will determine whether or not you'll have a quality loss.
You said you have authoring programs. Which authoring proggy's do you have?
