  1. I have succesfully ripped and converted a DVD to VCD. However when I play on my DVD player the picture is distorted - pixelation is off.

Is this a problem when converting or burning? Any suggestions appreciated.

  2. Not sure what you mean by "pixelation is off", but it might be an issue with compatibility & your DVD player.

Do a little troubleshooting. Play it on your computer (from the VCD) & see how it looks. If that looks bad, play it from the MPEG file. If the VCD looks bad & the MPEG looks good, its a burning problem. If both look bad, its an encoding problem. If both look good, its probably a problem with your DVD player.

  3. I tried your suggestion and find it to be a burning problem. I am using Nero - do you know of any other software which works better?
