Are you using Dolby Digital or MPEG audio?
My Pioneer player was not producing sound on MPEG audio until I went into the setup menu and changed one of the options (can't remember which one exactly, but it was an obvious one!)

Are you using BeSweet to convert wav to ac3? Some people say they have problems with Pioneer using ac3 converted with Beweet. I've never had problems, but I don't have a Pioneer.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........

  7. Check that you are not using video clips with mixed audio formats, one video clip with MPEG2 audio and then another video clip with DD audio while authoring your DVD. My Panasonic DVD Video Recorder will only play the audo format of the first video played. So now I only make sure that I use one audio format throughout all video clips when i'm making my DVDs with mulitple video clips. Menu audio is not affected.
