DivX to SVCD how good?

This is a quality related question.

Converting .VOBs to SVCD you would certainly expect great results. But what about a high quality DivX to SVCD?

How much worse would the DivX to SVCD be than the straight conversion from VOB?

I would say that depends on many things. How good is the quality of the DivX, you could technicaly have a 2 gig DivX that is close to as good as the VOB. Then it depends on the bitrate you use on the SVCD. You could make the SVCD 150Mb and it would suck.
