How do I enable DMA in XP. I went under the IDE controller and all it has is to use DMA if possable. Is this the only place to enable it???? Before I started using XP I could rip at at 10x which only took a few minutes, now with XP it will only rip at 2x which is taking about 30min.
Any info would be cool.
Thanx!!!!!!!

You can enable DMA in XP, but i cant remember where they hid it...
The best and easiest way (for me @ least) was to get a program called "tweak-XP" you can get a demo @ http://www.totalidea.de , just go to WinXP and click download
(If you search you will find a crack, it only lets you start the program 50 times or something)
Anyway its in "System Performance" tab under "Hardware Tweaks"
Saying all that i think it gets enabled by default by XP.... but i'm not sure
Good Luck
