  1. Well, there is enough infomation on this site for anyone to split a DVD9 into 2 DVD5's with basic success. Yes and no really. Take the latest Led Zep double DVD. Ripped easily with dvddecoder and split using default changeover point with ifoedet. Reduced last bit by one on disc 1, burn with Nero, 100% success.

Now the disc 2's.....discs burned with Nero won't play straight away as the player looks for the non-existant menu. Add jump to command as per guide - works fine but still searches for the menu at the end of the disc.

I'd like it to stop at the end, or at the very least re-start. Suggestions?

Anyway, the real failing is the lack of a menu to allow song selection and the like. Unfortunately, it seems vob's 1-8 are too big to include on disc 2, (vob9 is the main movie) but then again maybe only one or two are required. Everyting I read suggests disc 2 menus are not possible when splitting, but I'm sure there must be a way without having to copy all the extras.

I scratched around using ifoedit and conclude that with the right understanding of these files it should be possible to include menus. But how? Is there an advanced guide on how to read and edit ifo files?

Final comment: Led Zep DVD an absolute must for the colelction and worth al the hours!
