  1. first off, major, you've done a fine job on this program!!!

i have a captured QT mov that i'm trying to get into m2v.... the QT mov plays fine with the audio / video in perfect sync.

after running it through ffmpg to create the m2v, the audio and video start at the same time but, about 4 seconds in the film, the audio jumps about 3 seconds ahead and stays that way for the duration on the mov.

looking at the times of the audio and video in the Finder, the audio file duration is 3 seconds shorter than the video file. the time difference can also be verified in Final Cut Pro.

in ffmpg, i selected the hi quality preset, de-interlace, QT decode....

ffmpg is the fastest encoder and i would prefer to use it over FCP (8 hours to encode vs. 30 hours just to render in FCP)

    any guidence is greatly appreciated.

  2. If you cut away those initial 4 seconds from the source and encode, what happens?

  3. after cutting the audio where it would "jump ahead" and re-encoding, the audio is fine.

so i cut the video too.....

i was tired of working on it
