Maybe it's the media you're using? Have you ever gotten your burner to work for DVDs before? I had a problem burning when i updated to OS 10.2.6. Still haven't updated because of it. Just remember, you can always do a "simulation mode" run to check to see if whatever changes you're trying will work, without having to waste a DVD-R.

Good luck. Toast's error messages are about as useful as a PC.

usually if its media, you get MEDIUM ERROR.

Never heard of BLANK CHECK for an error before.

What media are you using? What speed are you burning? What version of toast are you running?

  4. I have spoken to Roxio toast representatives. I was told that my Lacie DVD-R burner is not compatible with Toast titanium 5.1, i would need 5.2 or toast lite. However still seems to give a MEDIUM ERROR. I tried the Medium supplied with the burner and still gives a problem. I use to never have a problem with the burner or media, i burned approximately 30 DVD's with no errors only recently i have come across problems. Possibly DVD2oneX or DVDbackup. Not sure. Changed RAM cache size and everything. Hope this helps and hope i can get some help

no it cant be apps, they only just make the files. Seriously, you will get medium errors when its crappy ie cheap, media.

Per the 5.2 I can agree with that. Eventually 6.0 will be out and perhaps all your problems will be gone.

1 thing i can suggest, do a simulation burn. see if it still has message. try other media types, or try slower burn speed.

Like I said...if you're getting a Medium Error, it's most likely that incompatibility between 10.2.6 and Toast. I have no clue why they don't work, but I just don't use anything past 10.2.3.

Wait until Panther, then update your OS.
