DVDx error message

I have a region 2 player and I have a Region 2 DVD (Godfather III). I want to rip to VCD with subtitles because this movie has extensive Italian dialogue sections.

I read the guide but after I identify the longest section of the movie in the DVD Root and click 'OK' in the INPUT SETTINGS field, I get the following error message:

'auth.dll: Can't authenticate drive. Disk may not be locked."

I thought that maybe this is similar to Smart Ripper not being able to unlock the drive and so I ran the movie in a software player but th eproblem persists.

I have Win XP Home edition.

Need some help.

Make sure Key Search is set to "Each VOB/Cell ID" and Force 24Hz is selected.
