    Have a XVid file which i wanted to convert to SVCD or VCD but wasnt able to.Tried to open the XVvid with virtualdub to add in the subtitles but i got an error msg "Couldnt locate correct decompressor for XVid".

    Im at my wits' end trying to figure out how.

    Do you have an XVid Codec installed?
    Ejoc's CVD Page:
    DVDDecrypter -> DVD2AVI -> Vobsub -> AVISynth -> TMPGEnc -> VCDEasy

    DVD:
    DVDShrink -> RecordNow DX

    Capture:
    VirualDub -> AVISynth -> QuEnc -> ffmpeggui -> TMPGEnc DVD Author

    Yes i can watch it so yeah the codecs is installed.
