I've been trying to get DivX capture to work with my AIW-7500 cuz the mpeg captures take up way to much space. I'm trying to get it to capture TV resolution (720x480) video, decent sound. I'm using an Athlon XP 2500 (1.83 GHz) o/c to 3000(2.1 GHz), 512 meg Low Latency Corsair mem at 400 MHz, Western Digital 80 gb HDD (not special edition. At the time, that would have required me getting a 60 gb instead). I'm trying to get the CPU usage to stay around 50%, which I am doing. The biggest problem is the audio isn't in sync. Anyone know what settings I should use to fix this problem, and any suggestions for the best settings for me to use for everything? Thanx.

  2. I'd suggest trying to capture using Virtualdub_sync instead of MMC. Are you compressing the sound on-the-fly (mp3) ? It might be a better idea to capture the audio as uncompressed pcm and compress it once the capture is done. Of course, that takes up ~10MB/minute, but with a 60GB drive that's no problem.

When I use codecs other than ATI supplied ones (mjpeg)
I always get 650 ms early audio. It's in sync if I use ATI
    mpeg2.
I have an AIW 8500 Radeon

It doesn't bother me because i have to re-encode
the mjpeg anyway, and I just move the audio
