    my computer used to be able to play burned dvd's but lately it won't even pick up the disc.. can somebody help please

    i have a pioneer a103 and it used to play back anything i put in there now it won't even recognize the burned dvdr.. it will recognize a blank and burn one but it won't read the final movie

    yes it reads commercial dvd's it just won't read any burned

    how did you burn your dvd?

    does it play in your standalone dvd player?

    i decrypted the movie with dvd decrypter then used dvd2one to transcode then i use nero to burn the movie. the final movie plays fine on all of my dvd players but the computer won't even pick up the disc

  8. try playing your burned DVD on a friend's PC...see if it works...

    perhaps, your DVD-ROM is getting old and the intensity of the laser is not strong enough to read burned DVDs. commerical DVDs can still be read because they have higher reflective surface than burned DVDs.
