Im converting a xvid movie to svcd with TMPGenc and the audio extracted to wave by virtudub.
The problems lies in when i have encoded the movie and it makes strange chops certain places in the movie (its not the source that chops)
My settings are:
CBR Constant bitrate: 990
Top Field A
Non Interlace
NTSC Film 23,9 fps
I can say that setting motion search to highest quality removed some chops and setting the bitrate to around 2000 eliminates them completely - but the file is way to large then!¨
Hope somebody can help me

What is the orignal framerate of the file ?, have you stayed true to this ?.

Is this problem occuring only when you reach very dark scenes in the Movie
If so check this topic and the resolution.

If it is happening every couple of seconds it sounds like the Movie is 25 fps but NTSC is 23.9
