forty two installation problems

I am trying to try forty two to see if it can help me make DVD's. I guess I have the program installed (not much to it), but when I try to drag a DVD into the little window, the image bounces back, and it doesn't seem to mount. Are there other files i need to dl/install to get this to work right?

i have had problems with the newest version as well. it just quits, won't do anything.
