    I have a DVD burner arriving next week. I've been working on encoding and authoring. I want to make an image in Nero using the Image Recorder but the DVD options don't show up. I assume this is because I don't have a burner, but that shouldn't matter. Is there any way around this?

    Why ddont you use imgtool to create image?

    Go to File > Preferences > Expert Features and click on 'Enable Image Recorder for all supported recorder formats'

    That should allow you to make on image on the HD.
