    A big change for me is that now my Nero ImageDrive is enabled without anymore Drive Installation Errors.

  4. I stopped using NERO to make DVD compliant video files since the audio was always out of sync in the output files.

    Other users have reported this as a common problem.

    Does anyone know if the latest update addresses this problem?

  5. What do you mean the audio was out of sync? Are you saying that when you play back a DVD the voices don't match the mouths moving? It seems impossible that NERO could be responsible for that.

  6. Yes , there is a lag between audio and video. I cannot say that this happens no matter what the input file format (eg. AVI, ASF, Mpeg1) /size/resolution is etc ...but it does happen.

    Why are you surprised that a software tool might not be flawless ? Have you ever tried Microsoft Windows ?

    There are other similar reports of this problem and the general recommendation has been to use another tool (such as TMPGeng) to create the DVD compliant files and then use an authoring tool such as NERO or TMPGenc MyAuthor to create the DVD. I have been happy with the results of doing this, but if NERO gets squared away with a good encoder, I would prefer to use just one program.

  7. And this doesn't happen when you burn with something like imgtool? I've never noticed and problems with Nero but will look closer at a few DVD's that I've burned.

  8. After shrinking with something like DVDshrink, what do you feel is the best burning tool that offers the most compatibility with most DVD players?

  9. @HarryMangurian,
    I think your problem is that you are encoding with Nero,use TMPGEnc instead.

    @gobble,
    Try RecordNow Max or make an ISO image with ImgTools classic and burn with DVDDecrypter,100% of the discs I've burned with those have played perfectly.

  10. Yapp, had always problems with my Daewoo-5700 with discs burned with Nero. They didn't want to load. The most compatible discs are made with the method MOVIEGEEK mentions:

    ImgTool Classic for the image
    DVDDecrypter for burning

    P.S.: BTW - got sick and tired about this loading problem and replaced that shitty DVD loader in the Daewoo-5700 with one of my PC DVD-ROMs. It loads now everything what I throw at it. +/- R(W) whatsoever. And no problems with discs burned by Nero anymore. But if you want to make sure that most DVD-Players can play your discs - go with ImgTool and DVDDecrypter.
