Firefox 3.5 appears to be more stable than its predecessors. I have not lost my location bar & address bar yet.

The people who have written so far have used the expression "plugins", but I suspect they actually mean "add-ons" (aka "extensions"). Add-ons are made current by the updater, plug-ins aren't.
Anyway, assuming the topic is add-ons, I recommend you install one called "Nightly Tester Tools". It enables you to overcome the incompatibility problem easily. Another one that is also helpful in this regard is called "Mr. Tech Toolkit".
I hope this helps.

P.S. I've been using the experimental versions of Firefox (the nightly "Branch" and "Trunk" builds) for years. I've never had a major problem.Lenovo ThinkStation P520, Xeon W2135; Win10Pro x64, 64Gb RAM; RadeonPro WX7100W; NEC PA301W, NEC PA272W, and Eizo MX270W. -
I downloaded this new one but it doesn't connect to the internet so im force to still use IE whats up with that?

May seem like a stupid question but are you on dial up or dsl?

I have 3.0.5 when i clicked on the help tab and selected check for updates it indicated the latest was 3.0.11.
Whats up with that? Is 3.5 a beta release?

Not a beta anymore.

Went to EWeek as soon as I posted and found this.

Guess that's why it's not listed on the tab as the latest release. Think I'll wait a week.

Some pages load a lot quicker, some not so much.

Well my cousin just says its not compatible with Windows Vista. Why is that?

yeah it does not connect and i used the help guy and everything made sure my ie settings were the same as my firefox setting and the thing still doesn't work.

Not impressed so far.
I have had pages that take up to minute to load fully. The biggest problem I have had is with video sites such as Youtube, where the videos seem to take forever to buffer. I thought at first it was a problem with my connection (20mb), but the same videos are fully buffered in seconds when using IE8.
I'll skip this version I think. -
The real version comes out Tuesday so it looks like my problem is solved.

I just downloaded it again today as I heard that the released the one with the bugs fixed (well supposedly) and it doesn't connect.

Do you have a firewall that could be blocking firefox?
Donadagohvi (Cherokee for "Until we meet again") -
Since I upgraded to 3.5 I have a problem.
I cannot right click on websites...right clicking does nothing. I don't get things like copy/paste etc like I should.
I have the 'mouse gestures' plugin installed and it still works....right click on a link and move the mouse down opens it in a new tab...etc.
Right clicking works on other programs though...any thoughts?
I thought about removing the 'mouse gestures' plugin to see if that is an issue but have not tried it yet.
EDIT
Ok...right clicking DOES work on sites....BUT, if I right click in a field...such as the user name/password fields it does nothing...and immediately renders that whole window non right clickable even if I reload the page.
If I open up a new window then right clicking works again...try it in a field and it is totally disabled.
Any thoughts?
Also...that plugin I mentioned is called 'FireGestures' not mouse gestures.
2ND EDIT
Ok, I got everything working. I disabled FireGestures...however I also uninstalled the CoolIris plugin at the same time...then it worked...I reenabled FireGestures and it still worked...problem solved but not 100% sure why...anyone else running Cool Iris? -
If the "mouse gestures" add-on is not compatible you might try downloading the Mr Tech Toolkit mentioned by hudsonf and using it to make that add-on compatible. It worked great for me on a couple of add-ons I had that didn't work correctly right off the bat.
Other than a couple of add-on incompatibility (which was subsequently fixed with Mr Tech Toolkit - thanks for the tip hudsonf) , the upgrade has gone flawless for me. Maybe I'm just lucky.
edit
Okay I see you got it working.Donadagohvi (Cherokee for "Until we meet again") -
