Toolame has a default sampling frequency of 44.1khz, but DVD audio is 48khz. There are several options for downsampling (DVD2AVI, external program, or I hear TMPGEnc is supposed to automatically downsample).
I had decent success downsampling in DVD2AVI, but its very time consuming. I'm considering using an external sound program (Sound Forge XP)which is also time-consuming but may be better suited for high-quality sound processing.
What do other TooLame users do?

Try Shibatch Sampling Rate Converter. It's a command-line util and it's quite fast. It supposedly has good quality but I didn't compare it to others in this regard.

I use ssrc too.
All I did compare is dvd2avi>TMPGdownsample>toolame to vob2audio>ssrc>toolame. The 2nd wins.
