how do you make the qualityof a movie better

i get a movie off the internet

if its in asf i can convert it to avi or mpeg or even mpeg4 but they all seem to be the same quality no matter what i convert it to.

is there any way to make the quality of a movie you get better???

what is the best way to watch a movie ie.. best quality???

In my opinion, if you have an asf that you're trying to make look better you're screwed. I think most people choose asf for compression purposes. Asf is not the most quality type of movie file. Another thing is that a lot of times the movies you dl off the net aren't that great a quality to begin with. If your source isn't good then you MIGHT (that's questionable though) be able to make it slightly better, but in most cases you can't.
