I have created a 4min. clip in premiere 6.5 and whenever I export it, (or even when I preview it), there is jittery motion in some specific areas, as though it's skipping frames. It's in the same spots every time. Almost all the clips I have used were captured as MPEG1 files with a Leadtek "Winfast 2000 XP Deluxe" card in a seperate program, and later imported into Premiere. These original files play fine. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is??

Well.......how fast is your HDD? When I used to use Premiere the clips would speed up really fast or sometimes skip and i realized that my HDD was only 5200 rpm. So, I went out and got a new HDD that was 7200 rpm and I dont have the problem anymore. So If that helps any, there you go but im not sure if thats the problem. anyone else?

Hmmm, I don't think Premiere supports importing MPEG of any kind (it certainly doesn't support MPEG2).
The specific solution to your problem is to capture as DV-AVI, which is what Premiere works well with. You really shouldn't be trying to edit an MPEG in Premiere (or actually anywhere)."Like a knife, he cuts through life, like every day's his last" -- Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang -
He said he imported mpeg 1 just fine. I know 6.5 will import most format fine, even mpeg 2. I've even done it with elementary stream, m2v. But you're right, he shouldn't be editing mpeg's.
