I am posting this for someone else. I'm pretty sure a full frame TBC will help this guy, but I wanted to ask the experts.
I recently transferred a VHS tape of my wedding to DVD. The VHS tape plays perfectly. At the end of the VHS tape, the video man added a slow motion scene from the original footage, followed with a freeze frame. It plays perfectly in VHS.
I transferred the video to DVD using a standard JVC consumer deck. Video tape in one side, blank DVD in one side, 1 button copy.
The transfer was perfect except for the slow motion scene at the end. When the DVD plays the slow motion scene, it jitters vertically. The freeze frame also jitters. It's very annoying.
Can this be fixed with time base correction? Would the fix be to the DVD, or to the VHS signal before it is converted to DVD? I have no idea what time base correction is, so any help or advice from someone knowledgeable would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know if it can be fixed with a TBC, but it might be a little expensive to find out unless you can borrow one. If the 'slow motion' scene is from the VHS tape, it might be easier to use a MPG editor, copy the same scene and make your own slow motion version. Same with the 'freeze frame.'
