  1. I have just started ripping DVD's, but I have already run into a problem. On one of the movies I ripped the last 2 VOB's only had background music, no voice tracks. The next movie, all the VOB's were fine except VOB_3 which was completly in french. I tried finding the english/voice files but came up empty. I also tried other rippers with exactly the same results. Is there a way to get a complete movie? I am really stuck, can anyone help?

    thanks

What are you aiming for? Do you want to watch the vobs only or do you want to convert to whatever? Which steps did you do alreaddy?

  3. I ripped the tracks to my harddrive and just to check that the VOB's ripped properly I watched each VOB seperately. I hadn't coverted yet as I figured why make a VCD with one section that was French. Does it convert with the proper audio? The problem I see is that it is always only 1 VOB that is the problem...If I switch the audio track as in the "directors cut posting" then all the other tracks will be wrong. Any ideas?

Did you decode the audio alreaddy? Vobs still contain all audio tracks after ripping. Extract the one or two audio tracks you want with an audio decoder (dvd2avi or vob2audio).

  5. I had something like this. I used (flask) & searched for the audio track that was 5.1 ac3 (dolby digital) also looked for 5.1 dts track as on most american disks, these tracks will be English only, not always, but worth the input to your sit.

    Thanks for all your help.

First you load all vobs by selecting the first vob. Then delete all the vobs, that you don't want.
