  1. Hi all,

I'm new here, and I hope someone can help.

I have been trying to make an XVCD that can play on my RP-91 Panasonic DVD player without much luck. I get the NO PLAY message from the RP-91 when I try to play the XVCD. I followed the HOW TO guidelines using VirtualDub to capture the AVI, TEMPGEnc to encode the MPEG-1, and finally Nero to burn the XVCD to a CDRW. BTW, I have had good succes with VCDs on the same CDRW starting with the same AVI, using the same utilities.

I've read that others have successfully played XVCDs on the RP-91 (SVCDs apparenty have some trouble).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Ricardo

  2. I have tried again and now realize that I have never successfully written a VCD with Nero. I also have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 and that the only way I can create a VCD that plays on my RP-91 DVD player. I am using a demo copy of Nero 5.5.4. Any suggestions?
