I am transferring unencrypted DVDs to DVD-R using DVD Decrypter. My DVD burner is a 4x pioneer dvr-a05. When I burn the dvds it burns at 4x which is good, but when i make an iso out of the dvds that i am burning it only reads at 2x. Is that normal or should it be a lot faster.
Thanks,
Adam

Many DVD-ROM drives have been locked to read CSS/encrypted discs at 2x. You only need 1x to play the DVD after all. This 'feature' makes some people in the MPAA happy. Do a search on this topic but bottomline most people recommend that you get a Lite-On 16x DVD-ROM or another drive without this feature that can rip at full speed.
