  1. Didnt know where to post this:

Is there a program like Roxio Directcd Format Utility to use your CDRs as back up storage your data files (like - txt, word docs, exe, avi, swf, tpl, php, sql, mov, jpg etc etc) but for DVDs?

Since DVDs hold much more than CDrs it would be better for me to use them as files backup storage like i did with CDRs.

Just dont know if there is a smooth program already to use like Roxio.

    Anyone know?

    Thanks

  2. Did a search and found this:

Anyway, NERO is probably the best program for data (moreso even than Roxio's crash-happy products). Open Nero. Close Wizard. File. New. DVD-ROM (ISO). No Multisession. Make ISO9660 Level 1 Mode 1, then RELAX the ISO restrictions (both allows). No more problems on naming files, etc. Enable JOLIET. Click NEW.

Drag and drop files. BURN. Enjoy disc. The end.
Could i save any format of my files like this?

Also, i remember using Roxio where my drive wouldnt read the CDRs unless you had the DirectCD Format Utility running.

Is this the case with Nero and DVDRs?

  3. I don't see why your couldn't save any file on a DVD. Have you had problems before saving a certian type of file.

I really like Nero myself (though I have to admit, I never burned a DVD data disk, ususally CD is plenty for me). Plus its only $10 at GoGamer so if you don't like it, you aren't out a fortune.

Yes, Nero. Do it all the time.
I'm not online anymore. Ask BALDRICK, LORDSMURF or SATSTORM for help. PM's are ignored.
