When i convert an DiVX or XViD to SVCD the voices become very sharp and donīt sound as good as on XViD. I Converted the sound using virtual dub to .wav format before i encoded...any ideas?

Some programs dont use anti-alias, this sounds like your problem, how are you extracting the audio from the Divx/Xvid with vitualdub, try using high quality mode, internal conversion in the virtualdub settings, might help, i dont think virtualdub uses anti-alias, but i could be wrong.
