  1. Hi,
anyone familiar with nero vision express?
It came bundled with my burner and is all I have for now.
I can capture AVIs from my DV camcorder thru firewire wire. The avi has sound, the final DVD I buen has no sound! Any ideas how to fix this?
    thanks

  2. You should download the latest upgrade of Nero Vision Express.
Late last year and/or earlier this year they had a version that
tagged the audio as the wrong type, creating a DVD that would
play with NO audio on set top players and some computer software
players. I experienced the same thing and the upgrade fixed it.

  3. thanks.
that's the first hopeful thing I've seen all morning.
I've been to the nero site. Under downloads it only shows "demo". Nothing under support either. Am I just not seeing the patch download?
My nerovision expres verion is 1.0.4.2
    thanks again

  4. Hi,
so I downloaded the demo versions of both nero express AND nerovision express.
Installation detected an "upgrade", and must have changed something. Now I have sound! And even playback on my Apex AD660!!!
    That's great. Thanks very much.
Now that I can see the product on the TV screen, I must say I'm very disappointed in the quality.
I'll start a new thread for this.

  5. Yes, nero vision express doesn't seem to produce the best
output! I think everyone who has used it is in agreement here.
Too bad, as I like the user interface and feature set for a
    simple app.

  6. that is too bad about NVE. I think I'll be contacting the good folks at Ahead with a comment or two. For one thing I'm not even sure if the mpeg2 plugin (for more $) was installed correctly. How can they be OK with this product when they know what else is out there!

  7. I suspect your mpeg plugin is fine, as I too purchased it and
installed it hoping for the best. Viewing a DV captured
video encoded with the Nero DVD encoder plugin on a
55 inch TV was quite pixalated. It was right up their with
the bad quality of the MyDVD product. I wasn't too inpressed
with the quality of this one either

I gave up and spent the bucks on Vegas video 4 + DVD
Architect. Sometimes you get what you pay for!

  8. well i can't say I'm happy to hear that! At least you got something working well too. I wonder if we can get the $ back for the plugin
Here's hoping for the folks at Ahead fixing their product. It's a shame really. If the output quality was good, it would really fit the bill for me.
