Thanks for this great release.
I read ALL the pdf file first!
I deleted my previous fourty-two folder in Apps support. I dropped the new 1.6 folder in there and built the binaries.
Mounted the DVD and dropped in the window.
I do as usual and select start.
In the menu bar (finder) I see fourty-two appear for an instant but dissapears immediatly.
My previous fourty-two(1.5.2b) was working fine.

Its very likely that for some reason we can't write to the unix /tmp directory, and the threadSlave won't start unless it finds certain information there.
