  2. which version of dvd2one are you using ?

it will do full disc copy now. rip the whole film in file mode and compress using full disc mode in dvd2one.

if you have got the latest version and you dont want the menu you will have to rip just the main vobs and use ifoedit to create new ifos but select one pgc only then run it through dvd2one or download dvdshrink and it will do the lot with a re-author.

If you rip in movie mode with Smartripper it will select the movie only. The files that Smartripper puts on your HD can be opened and commpressed with DVD2ONE and DVD2ONE will create all the files needed to burn, you don't need IFOEDIT. Just put the files you create with DVD2ONE in a directory called VIDEO_TS,must be capitol letters,AUDIO_TS directory is not needed.

  5. Hello all,
I use Smart ripper, dvd2 one v111, and then Copy to DVD then burn it with my Pioneer 105 the full process takes less than one hour if you use four speed discs. Smart ripper first, Run the program, click on FILES then at the bottom click on all, after all the files are in a folder, I suggest ( NEW_1 ) use dvd2one, Start the program , select full disk. The source is where Smart ripper put the files and destination is where the compressed files are going ( RIP_1 ) and inside this folder you will have to create another folder named VIDEO_TS send the compressed files to VIDEO_TS after the compression is done use Copy to DVD. Run Copy to DVD click on Project then on the drop down list click on Write DVD Video, a box opens up then select the RIP_1 folder not the VIDEO_TS then it asks you to select a burner and name the title and your on your way.
I hope this helps and is not too hard to understand.

Thanks for the tips guys. You all mention SmartRipper...cant I just use DVD Decrypter to rip the movie files to my HD or does Smart Ripper do something more?

I tried using DVD Shrink too...was cool to be able to select how much compression I wanted in the menus, movie and extras. Actually worked but the transcoding took 58 minutes...uugh. Ill try your methods that you guys suggested.

  7. You can use DVDDecrypter... it works just fine. Like the others stated before, make sure you are getting all the files and not just the main movie files.
