I'm new to Vegas and can't find a way to select multiple clips and drag them all as one. I have this movie I'm making and I need to go back in the time line to add a new clip which requires me to move the rest a bit forward and so far all I can do is to push them all one by one![]()

most editors you get the view correct then hold down ctrl and drag your cursor over the selected clips and drag them
other methods include ripple editing which moves them down once a clip is inserted
probably best to read the directions before going on -
Turn on ripple editing. This will preserve the timeline order, even across multiple tracks, when you start shifting things around. Once ripple is on, just move the clip that is in the way along the timeline, and everything after it will shift accordingly. Just remember to turn it off again, as ripple can be both a blessing and a curse.
