  1. I am planning to take a vacation, but don't want to bring my DVD collection with me.

Is there a way I can mount the actual DVD(s) on my harddrive (as perhaps a Drive letter) without my needing to bring my original DVD(s)?

I am not concerned on the harddrive space that this may take up.

Also, let me know if there are several programs that will do this.

    Thanks!

    This thread might help, https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=148859

Basically you need to rip, then mount. Check the ripping section on the left column of this page.

Here's another thread, check the last entry, https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=148624

Did a search under "mount virtual drive", http://www.google.com/search?s=main&as_q=mount+virtual+drive&domains=www.dvdrhelp.com&...p.com&safe=off

    Good luck!

  3. Here is a guide

    DVD Playback from your Harddisk

I like the "Alternative method". Much cleaner for playback. You just mount the new image and bingo, it's like you just put a dvd in.
